Read the econ blogosphere in one gulp
Guy Kawasaki has started a new blog aggregator called Alltop. Like other aggregators, it displays the latest posts from a selection of blogs and categorises them by topic. The econ blogosphere is featured here.
Not all econ blogs that I know of are included. According to the FAQ on the site, the criteria for including blogs is:
We rely on several sources: results of Google searches, review of the sites’ and blogs’ content, researchers, and our “gut” plus the recommendations of the Twitter community, owners of the sites and blogs, and people who care enough to write to us.
I’m pleased to say that 26econ has made the cut. The ranking of sites on the page is even more mysterious and apparently relies on several factors including credibility and “helping underdogs and undiscovered gems”. I presume this is why 26econ appears near the top — it is an undiscovered (and unpolished) gem.
Anyways, I like the site design, it’s very clean, and by hovering over the title of a post, you can get a very quick preview. This should be pretty useful, as it offers a fast way to get an overview of the current discussions in the blogosphere.

Uh, they’re alphabetical. But you knew that.
I don’t mind not being listed—though Tom has been on a role recently—but I do wish they distinguished between blogs that are Finance and those that are Economics. (Naked Capitalism is Finance; 26econ is, well, Econ).
Ken: If they’re alphabetical, how come WSJ is first? Or maybe you’re looking at a different list to me?
Nice spot … I do like the presentation of the site, though from clicking round some of the other subjects, it seems as much a general news aggregator as a blog aggregator - perhaps the Economics Roundtable

… is more comprehensive
