Thanks for your comments and blog.

I am the owner / manager of this charity and understand through feedback already received that the charity needs to be "more transparent"... this is something I am working on at the moment with the person that designed my website.

However I would like to state that it is not a scam at all, it is an idea of mine that I am trying to nurture and grow. It is something I believe in.... I have been a musician in my younger day (I'm now over 40) and found it hard to survive.

I believe that people DO wish to give something back to bands or artists for their work that they have ripped off, I am trying to find a way for them to do that.

I will be looking at placing links from artists to my site and vica versa in the near future. I have already stared this process on my myspace site www.myspace.com/musicdonations

Since I started the donation program on 31 October 2007 I have received $101 worth of donations to artists. A $100 donation was refunded to it's donator recently as after 30 days if I can not make contact with the artist (in this case Fergie) I will refund the donation.

$0.90 has been donated (a 10% fee deducted) to a band here in Australia called Van She. I contacted the band directly and verified their details. It's a start and I am happy with the one donation I have been able to make so far.... I am sure after updating the site and 'becoming more transparent" more people will look at actually donating to the people that deserve it.

I will be looking at placing a "Total of Donations Received" on my website and also a "Top 3 or 5 artist benificiary list" as well.

I would also welcome more feedback on how I can develop this process.

You can email me at contact@musicdonations.org if you wish or just post more in your blog. Anyone is welcome to help.
