It would be good to connect this data with the e-business blog.  From the data we see some displacement of traditional channels to e-channels.  And the e-business blog gives the conditions where this would happen: e.g. where transaction costs are high, e-business would be a good option.  

I guess the trend will then only continue while there is these displacement opportunites.  To me the biggest transaction costs is going to the auction/supermarket etc.  Here in NZ we can already get groceries ordered online delivered from a supermarket.  I wonder to what extent all retail is vulnerable to the e-commerce and the internet.
